For February’s meeting, guild members took a field trip to the Nancy M. Bruce Center
for Design and Material Culture at UW Madison for curator-led tours of two amazing
quilt exhibits. One exhibit was Parallel Lines: Quilts and the American Landscape. The
other exhibit was Find Your Quilt. Both exhibits were filled with wonderful quilts – from
antique to modern. There was something for everyone to enjoy, and members really
enjoyed taking lots of photos having time to ask the curators questions. Thank you to
guild president, Emily Courtois, for coordinating parking and the bus ride to/from the
exhibit.
