A non-member is looking for someone to complete a quilted jacket project that her grandma started. If anyone is interested in that, email madmodquiltguild AT gmail.com.
If you are participating in the plus block swap, you can drop off completed blocks at Blue Bar Quilts, Electric Needle, or you can mail blocks to Casey. If you need more info, contact Marian or Casey.
Block Lotto: Participation has been down. There was an email poll sent to guild members and participants voted to end block lotto due to low participation. There were some other suggestions brought forward, so the board will review those.
The guild retreat is coming up in April! There are still retreat spots and hotel rooms available.
Eileen shared a Project Linus report. New storage options have become available, but they’re still looking for an office or storage-room type storage space for storing blankets. An in-person Project Linus sewing day is in the works. There’s an ongoing need for the no-sew fleece blankets, which are a great service project for students to do.
Next week there will be a guild meetup on March 16 at Sun Prairie Library. RSVP ahead of time using this link.
Our guest speaker was Kitty Wilkin, aka Night Quilter. Kitty spoke about making milestone quilts.
You can explore Kitty’s patterns at her online store, or join her Quilt Your Life crew to work on milestone quilts in a cohort.
