I am in the basement! We just remodeled the basement where I have my new sewing space. This is the view when I’m at my big machine that’s set into a big table. At least it’s bright “out there!”
There’s another “sewing station” with a smaller back-up machine. On the left corner you can see my big board on my ironing board – LOVE IT. And I love how I can wheel from the machine to the ironing board on my rolling chair.
The plastic totes on the floor AND the bookcase are filled with many, many quilt kits. I’m optimistic I’ll finish them in my lifetime! My unfinished projects are on the top of the metal shelving.
This is the big cutting table. I have a smaller cutting area right by my big sewing machine. There’s a sit-down long arm machine on order, so I’ll need to move this table when it comes. Things will get squishy!
I store my thread in old candy jars.
There are 2 closets in the hall outside my room. This is where I store fabric, batting, etc.
My sewing space has come a LONG way from my first quilting space that was a bedroom closet with the bi-fold doors!
–We’d love to see your sewing space too! Please send content and photos to madmodquiltguild@gmail.com.
