Block lotto – paper piece a kite block

Hello MadModders!

Here is all the info you’ll need to make quilt blocks for the November meeting’s Block Lotto:

Let’s use this FREE pattern available from Flying Parrot Quilts on Craftsy!

This is a relatively easy paper-piecing pattern, so be BOLD and give it a try. Make sure your printer doesn’t change the scale of the page – don’t “shrink to fit,” and make sure you measure the 3/4″ registration square on your printout to double-check it before you start sewing.

Each block you make enters you once in the drawing to win the whole pile – you could end up with a whole quilt by making just one block. But ilike potato chips, it’s never just one. Especially since this month’s block is small (4″ finish), you may wish to make multiples and increase your odds of winning! The more the merrier.

Thank you to everyone who participated in October: there were 16 star blocks, sized from 3″ to 47″ – we can’t wait to see what Valerie M decides to do with them.

NOTE: We won’t have a Block Lotto due in December since we’ll all be making zippy bags for exchange instead. We’ll pick it up again for January with something fun and low-stress after the holiday buzz.
