April 2020 Meeting Recap

March 2020 Meeting was cancelled due to the Wisconsin Stay at Home Order. April is our first meeting over Zoom.

Facemask Posts in the Facebook Group: We removed several posts pertaining to facemasks and may do that again. Posts related to facemasks tend to take over groups. We also received numerous people wanting to join the group simply for the purpose of making masks. We would like to see the Facebook group remain our way for members to connect, the Officers to share meeting intel, and to market our Guild.

Visitors during quarantine times: We are not hosting visitors to these meetings. For now if people would like to attend the virtual events they can join the Guild. This is simply to give us time to get accustomed as members to Zoom meetings and once we feel comfortable we can allow visitors.

Treasurer’s Report: We are paying for an account so we can have meetings longer than 40 minutes. This is $15/month.

Programming: Social sewing will still be happening, albeit over Zoom!

Project Linus: There will be an increased need for blankets even though for now there are not active pick ups and drop offs

Block Lotto: Emily Forscher won the Amish Geese! May will be Tulips.

Lecture: Rebecca Lindstrom presented “One Block, Many Ways” and inspired us to try out one block quilts and get modern, artistic results!
