The Modern Stitching Affair – Wendy announced the next retreat is April 26-29, 2018. Sara Lawson will be taching her train case pattern and MMQG member Tara Curtis will be teaching us how to weave fabrics. Then we choose our own adventure and make either a pillow cover or tote! Quilt Expo -We considered having a booth at Quilt Expo in the fall, but it’s too late to reserve a spot in the non-profit area. We’ll talk about it for 2018.
Charity Quilts – Linda has a thank you card if you’d like to give it a read. Also Maday is not going to be charity chair next year, but she does continue to donate to Hope House and YWCA. She also mentioned that the woman who coordinates quilts for Hospicewill come to pick those up at our meetings. If you have extra pillowcases or quilts, please call these groups. Maday is collecting personal items (tampons, wipes, deodorant,toothpaste, etc.—all new things) to donate.
Free Table was kickin’ it. You’re welcome to leave sewing related items at the free table for members to take. Anything left behind at the end of the meeting will be donated.
