February is National Cherry Month! February serves to remind us that cherries can be enjoyed at any time of the year, in all their forms. 🤤
So for Block Lotto this month: we will be enjoying cherries in the quilt block form. Let’s use the lovely instructions from Podunk Pretties Quilting. I hope this goes without saying, but: READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. There is a part in the instructions where the image shows dimensions to cut the white fabric, but then right below that image she writes a couple of CORRECTIONS of fabric dimensions to cut. So I highly recommend: read the instructions 2-3 times before cutting.
This block took me about 1 hour total (selecting fabric from my sweet stash, cutting, and piecing = 1 hour). I realize I say this often, but this was a FUN block to put together!…. And if when you’re done piecing your CHERRY block together you have one piece of white 1.5” x 5” leftover that you cut and didn’t use in the block, then you’re just like me and did it right 😘🍒
